Disney Day 3

On Day 3 we returned to Magic Kingdom.  I made all the kids matching shirts so we could try to get a picture.  If you have ever tried to get a good picture with 6 kids you'll understand how difficult this was.

Sadie, Henley and Elijah waiting for the bus to take us to the park.

Yes, Jack was there too.

Papa and Juju with all 6 grandkids.

Sadie 3, Cale 4, Elijah 6, Jack 6 months, Brooklyn 7, Henley 1

Our happy little family.

We stopped for a parade once we were inside the park.

Sadie got a little special attention.

Some of our favorite characters, Woody, Jesse and Lumiere.

Teacups!!

Elijah took control.

And Henley held on for dear life.

Meeting White Rabbit.

The kids stopped to refuel before setting off again.

Elijah and Beau getting ready to ride a rollercoaster.

After riding that small rollercoaster Elijah kept saying how much he loved it.  Beau, then, wanted to go ride Space Mountain.  Elijah was just tall enough to ride so Beau and I talked him in to riding it.  I had been on it before so I kept trying to warn him that its a big rollercoaster and its all in the dark.  Beau kept telling me not to scare him, but I just wanted to give him fair warning of what to expect.  Good thing I did too.  It was awful.  As we came into the last landing I could hear Elijah grumbling, "That was not good.  That was NOT good!"  Beau jumped off and started saying "Let's go again."  To which Elijah replied, "You can ride again...by. your. self"  He was not happy about it at all.

But then he got to meet Stitch and all was saved.

That night we took a fairy to a different resort and had a BBQ with Mickey and all his friends.

At one point the kids got pulled up onto stage (thanks to some very cute matching tshirts).  First it was just Cale and Elijah.  The host asked if they were brothers.  Cale said no, they are cousins.  Then the girls joined.  They asked where they are from.  Brooklyn said, "Texas!"  The host said, "Are you all from Texas?"  They all said "Yes!"  Except Elijah, he said "No!"  The host said, "Oh, where are you from?"  Elijah replied, "Robinson!"

At one point all the kids were dancing.  We couldn't find Sadie.  Then we found her...

All alone.  Eating.  Just the way she likes it.

Back to the dance floor!

One last picture before heading back to the hotel.

Disney World Day 2

On to Day 2 : Epcot
But first, I left out a very important fact from Day 1.  I must brag that I got all 5 of us into 4 carry-ons, 2 backpacks and a diaper bag!  That included all of Jack's food and diapers for 5 days!!  Toot Toot!! (That was the sound of my horn, by the way.)

I had to wake the kids up the morning of Day 2.  I had to shake Sadie awake.  She was in the same position she fell asleep in.  Vacations are exhausting!

We met lots of characters at Epcot.  I thought it would be the place we would meet the least, but I was sure wrong.  First was Daisy...

Goofy!!

After seeing all the pictures and hearing all the stories I'm sure Jack will wonder if he really was there...so here...yes, he was there!

"Where should we go next?"

We spotted Donald Duck in Mexico...

Our princesses waiting to dine with royalty...
We had lunch at a Norwegian restaurant where we were able to be greeted throughout our meal by princesses.  The food was really good.  That was one thing that so impressed me.  The food was good everywhere!  Beau was impressed that everyone who worked in the different countries in Epcot were actually from that country!

As we entered we met Belle...

Jasmine was quite taken with my little prince...

Elijah's favorite princess...

Aurora...

Of course, Cinderella...

Ariel...

At one point in the meal the children all did a "parade" through the restaurant with the princesses.

And now on to my favorite part of the whole trip.  It wasn't meeting a character, it wasn't visiting a park, or a special meal.  It was a simple act from one of my own little characters.  For some background, Elijah, Brooklyn and Cale were looking at a fountain.  Katy said she wanted to take a family picture (of her family) so her and Jon went and joined their kids.  We said "Say cheese!" and Elijah decided he would be in the picture too.  Only his idea of "Saying Cheese" was a little different than most... (you really need to click on it to blow it up and savor it)
It quickly became a highlight to our trip.  From then on everyone was attempting to "photo bomb" everyone else's pictures.

Next we me Alice...

This was my favorite thing.  We stood in line after line waiting to meet these characters.  Once it was our turn we were not rushed through like I thought we would be.  The character (totally in character, accents and all) would sit and talk to the kids, asking their names...unless they themselves were dressed up, and tell them how pleased they were have met.  It really made standing in line worth it.

Mary Poppins...

I don't know why the next few pictures turned out fuzzy, its very upsetting...

Tiger and Pooh

Snow White...

It was a magical day.

Disney World Day 1

Our trip to Disney World was quite memorable!  We wore ourselves out with all the fun!  We left our house on Saturday and drove to Ft Worth.  We had dinner and spent the night with Zac and Heather.  We left for the airport at 5 on Sunday morning.  That's AM people!  That was not great waking up the kids at 5am on a chilly Sunday morning!  We made it to the plane just in time to be the last ones to board.  Wheels up at 7:45am...off to Florida!

Elijah was nervous, but luckily he sat next to a sweet college-age girl who chatted him up the whole flight...leaving no time for nerves.  Sadie loved it...

Now some foreshadowing into the rest of the week...that's Sadie's suitcase Brooklyn is pulling.

By the time we got onto the bus to our resort Sadie had given up...

We dropped our luggage off in our hotel rooms and had lunch at the resort.  The food was amazing!!  Not sure if the rest of our family liked it, but it was Indian food so Beau and I were in Heaven!

Then we headed to Magic Kingdom!  As soon as we showed up there was a show at Cinderella's castle...
That is pretty much where Sadie spent the rest of the week...on my dad (or her dad's) shoulders!

 Riding the carousel...

We rushed off to meet Merida (Brave).  Sadie colored a picture while we waited in line...

Elijah practiced his bow skills...

Meeting Merida and getting her autograph...

Our first day was busy!  We were plum pooped by the time we made it back to the hotel.  Luckily I had spent a few minutes at the hotel earlier and set our beds up and set out the kids pajamas so we were able to get into bed somewhat easily.  Stay tuned for Day 2!

This is why there won't be a Christmas card

I wanted to get a picture of our family to put on a Christmas card.  Easily said, not so easily done.  My family is not very cooperative.  I'll prove it to you.

At Thanksgiving since we were all appropriately dressed I asked my SIL Katy to take our picture.  She waited outside for us...big mistake....

This is the best picture..but do Beau's legs not look gigantic?!  All I see when I look at this picture are Beau's legs.

Another cute one, but it doesn't look very good on a card.  Its like its too far away.  (and Sadie's not looking at the camera)

I don't know what Sadie is doing...

I thought I would take some close ups of the kids in case I wanted to use them on a card.  Of course Elijah cooperated very well.

Sadie...not so much.  But it does sum up her personality...

So then I thought I would just try a pic of the kids.  What. is. Sadie. doing?

Have you noticed Elijah is the same in every picture?

So that is why we probably won't be sending out a Christmas card.

Then I just had to throw in these last pictures.  I don't know why they didn't turn out, but I was trying to hurry.  Dad fixed Sadie and Brooklyn ice cream cones.  Henley was feeling very left out.

So the girls took turns feeding her...too cute!
I love my very cute, very quirky family.
